The
Augustine Family Band is composed of Hank, Laura, Joe and Rebecca Augustine.
They live in Aura, Michigan ten miles north of L’Anse. Hank and Laura are both
teachers at L’Anse Area schools. Joe is 14 years old and plays the Upright and
electric bass while adding back up vocals. He is also active in basketball,
track, church and jamming with his friends. He has attended the Richard Davis
Midwest Bass Clinic in Madison, WI for the last 5 years and plays with
WhiteWater at 2nd Sunday Folk Dances in Crystal Falls. Rebecca is 11
years old and plays violin, hammered dulcimer, percussion rhythm instruments,
and sings both lead and harmony. She is also an active figure skater both in
competing and testing. Joe and Rebecca are honor students at L’Anse Middle
School. Laura plays guitar, mandolin, banjo, and sings lead and harmony. Henry
plays guitar and adds back up vocals. The Augustine Family was recently featured
on “Finland Calling” on TV6.
